Rehabilitation

The process of rehabilitation at Movement Lifestyle begins with a thorough assessment including spinal mechanics, muscles balance, movement ability, core function, posture and where appropriate diet and lifestyle.
Using both subjective and objective assessment skills there is no-stone left unturned allowing a clear picture to be seen of the root cause of your problems.
A full client history is taken in order to help develop your bespoke treatment plan. The strategy that is developed following assessment often involves corrective exercise, corrective stretching and postural training, including setting you up ergonomically at work and in your home.
When the need arises referral to other practitioners will help to facilitate your progress and we work with a number of hand-picked affiliate practitioners ensuring continuity of treatment.
We are skilled to rehabilitate orthopaedic problems such as:
- Lumbar disk pathology
- Spinal stenosis
- Foraminal stenosis
- Spondylolysis
- Spondylolisthesis
- Sacro Iliac joint dysfunction
- Hypermobility
- Degenerative disc disease
Following assessment and coaching of the treatment plan a review will take place every 4-6 weeks to ensure your progress is as efficient as possible. Typically these 4-6 weeks cycles will be repeated 3-6 times at which point you can expect to be back to full fitness. Many clients enjoy the continual physical improvement and continue the 4-6 weeks cycles to improve their golf and tennis games in the absence of pain. Others that don’t play sports simply enjoy the benefit of feeling more mobile and confident with their bodies newly developed strength.
Coaching takes place at our beautiful, private clinic or where necessary home appointments can be arranged.
